The Governor’s Traffic Safety Advisory Council (GTSAC) was created in 2004 by Governor Napolitano to bring state and local agencies and public and private partners who are actively involved in transportation issues and safety to work together to reduce traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries.  More than 160 people from over 40 groups are involved in this statewide council with the goal of working together to improve traffic safety.

The Traffic Records Coordinating Committee (TRCC) is the GTSAC subcommittee responsible for developing, approving, and implementing Arizona’s strategic plan for traffic records. The TRCC members from organizations and agencies across the state are working together to improve the timeliness, accuracy, completeness, uniformity, integration, and accessibility of Arizona’s highway safety data.
